The installation method of soft sound-absorbing panels is one of the aspects of interior decoration design, as it directly affects the decorative effect of indoor walls and is also related to its sound absorption performance. The keel installation can improve low-frequency sound absorption effects compared to direct attachment, due to the cavity behind the mineral wool board.
Sound-absorbing panels can generally be divided into flat installation, exposed keel, concealed keel, and super concealed insertion installation methods. In fact, the installation method of soft sound-absorbing panels is one of the contents of interior decoration design, as it directly affects the decorative effect of indoor wall surfaces and is also related to its sound absorption effect. The keel installation can improve the low-frequency sound absorption effect compared to solid installation due to the cavity behind the mineral wool board.
The installation method is related to the edge structure of the panel, and the corresponding edge type sound-absorbing panel should be selected.
1. Flat installation: Use light steel keel or wooden keel, and install paper-faced gypsum board or other lightweight thin boards with screws on the keel as the baseboard. The surface should be flat, and the seams of the boards should be smoothed with putty. Clean the dust on the surface of the baseboard and the back of the mineral wool sound-absorbing panel, then apply glue on the back of the mineral wool board to be installed. To save adhesive, it is not necessary to coat the entire board surface; several points can be applied, with a spacing of about 150mm between glue points. Then, stick the mineral wool decorative sound-absorbing panel on the floor where the installation line has been marked. At the same time, use special nails to fix it. The glue application and nailing positions, as well as this flat installation method, can also be made into a curved lake surface shape, but maintenance and replacement are relatively troublesome.
2. Exposed keel installation: Use light steel keel or aluminum alloy keel, install the keel frame according to the specifications of the selected panel, and then place the mineral wool board directly on the keel frame. This method is suitable for installation without grooves and narrow edge drop boards. The characteristics of this installation method are that it is relatively simple, and maintenance and replacement are also very convenient. The keel is exposed, and installing drop boards can form recessed seams, which gives a more three-dimensional feel than flat seams formed by installation.
3. Concealed keel installation: Generally, use H-shaped light steel keel to install the keel frame according to the specifications of the selected panel. The boards with variable grooves or one side grooved and one side dropped are inserted into the frame one by one. The characteristic of this installation method is that it is not affected by keel segmentation, there are no board seams, and the decorative surface has good integrity. Maintenance and replacement of super concealed insertion boards are also convenient, but maintenance and replacement of general concealed insertion boards are relatively troublesome.
