Wood acoustic panels, when selected with fireproof properties, can generally achieve flame-retardant and fire-resistant levels. The decorative effect of wood acoustic panels is quite good, and the surface can be finished in various colors, such as maple, beech, walnut, oak, teak, and other series, achieving an excellent wood decoration effect.

1. Basic specifications of wooden sound-absorbing panels

Wooden sound-absorbing panels are usually made of medium density board, high density board, Australian pine board, or fireproof board with thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, or 18mm. The surface of the wooden sound-absorbing panels can be finished with melamine or solid wood veneer, baked paint, etc. Depending on the type of holes in the wooden sound-absorbing panels, they can be divided into groove wooden sound-absorbing panels and hole wooden sound-absorbing panels. Groove wooden sound-absorbing panels are a type of resonant sound-absorbing material with grooves on the front and perforations on the back of the density board, while hole wooden sound-absorbing panels have round holes on both the front and back, with non-woven sound-absorbing fabric attached to the back.

2. Sound absorption performance of wooden sound-absorbing panels

Wooden sound-absorbing panels usually come with a layer of sound-absorbing fabric when they leave the factory, providing a certain level of sound absorption. As long as a certain thickness of cavity is left during installation, they can be used as sound-absorbing materials on their own, exhibiting mid to low frequency sound absorption characteristics. If a certain thickness of porous sound-absorbing material, such as glass wool, polyester fiber sound-absorbing cotton, or melamine sound-absorbing cotton, is filled in the cavity, it can effectively improve the mid to high frequency sound absorption performance of the entire structure.

3. Installation methods for wooden sound-absorbing panels

Wooden sound-absorbing panels can typically be used on walls and ceilings. When used on walls, it is important to leave a certain thickness of cavity, meaning that the sound-absorbing panel should have a gap from the solid wall. Therefore, a layer of keel should be installed on the wall first, filled with sound-absorbing cotton. If using wooden keels, the wooden sound-absorbing panels can be fixed to the keel with nails. If using light steel keels, the wooden sound-absorbing panels can be fixed to the keel with locking steel clips.

4. Other performance and decorative effects

If fireproof materials are selected for wooden sound-absorbing panels, they can generally achieve flame retardant and fireproof levels. The decorative effect of wooden sound-absorbing panels is quite good, and various colors can be used on the surface, such as maple, beech, walnut, oak, and teak, achieving a very good wooden decorative effect.
